I've seen one verse quoted today on the front page of a tabloid I have no intention of spending money on. |

That old bandwagon you crawled out of Words transcribed and added to post in case the link is not durable. Placement of the words in the discussion is only for the record and implies no opinion for or against the writer of the song. --mudelf |

I don't see pub singers getting many requests for it, but I'll copy it here when I get near a real computer. It wouldn't be the first poisonously malignant song to get on a public archive. |

A pal was in an open prison over Xmas once and a few of us did him an Annual of puerile yarns which was withheld by the authorities as being a SUBVERSIVE OCCULT DEVIL WORSHIP MAGAZINE. Same with anything coming out. So what are the chances of this being a genuine piece of Rolflore? Remote I'd say. |
15 Jun 15 - 07:35 PM (#3716864) Subject: RE: Lyr Req: Rolf Harris's Jail Song From: Jack Campin OK, here we go. From The Daily Mirror: Climb up out of the woodwork babe I don't think the "friend" who smuggled that out was doing Sir Rolf any favours. (As if it wasn't bad enough already, he wants it sung as a country number). Meanwhile, the reply by his victim Wendy Wild, as quoted in The Daily Mail: You chose me, remember, 40 years ago, you put your dirty hands on me and have not let me go. I think that about wraps it up. I wouldn't mind seeing this thread locked now. I didn't expect it to be so easy. |
