There's a link there to another site that has Mauri's Wedding mixed with two other tunes. If you can name the tunes you get THE RECOGNITION YOU DESERVE!!!! From: DonMeixner Nancy, I do "Mairi's Wedding" with "Scotland the Brave" on the hammered dulcimer for people who dance Gay Gordon's. Its a very nice mix. I also play "Danny Boy" as a front piece to "Scotland The Brave" sounds odd in print but its a nice mix on the Hammered Dulcimer. I see no reason why you couldn't go from "Danny Boy" to "SCotland The Btave" and finish off with "Mairi's Wedding" if you aren't setting up for a dance. Don. |

From: Liz Lewis I have an old recording (Scottish sing-along) with the Uist Tramping Song, followed immediately by Mairi's Wedding. It really is a great song to sing while walking, hiking, etc. (good breath control practice!) but not very well-known. It is in John Loesberg's Traditional Folksongs and Ballads of Scotland, Vol. Two (paperback, Ossian Publications). Enjoy - Liz |

From: Marki I've done this at a wedding.... not exactly a medly, but I first did the song "Tell My Ma" and then went into "Mairi's Wedding". It worked GREAT together (and sounded really good too, but we did do both songs quite fast). I don't know what other one's you could throw in there tho' |
