The Frog's Wedding (Annie Mackenzie)

Hello all,
I'm searching for an obscure recording that doesn't seem to be available anywhere.

I'd like to hear Annie Mackenzie's (from Boho in County Fermanagh) version of The Frog's Wedding (Froggy Went A Courting) which was released on a cassette called "Here is a health: songs, music and stories of an Ulster community, collected and edited by Seán Corcoran".

Does anybody know where I can find this cassette?

It makes me sad that recordings like this are never reissued on CD and simply dissappear into obscurity after a few years.

I'm also interested in Packie Byrne's version of The Frog's Wedding, which was on EFDSS LP 1009.

This too, is impossible to find anywhere...
I don't even need the whole LP, just this one song I'd like to hear...

Many thanks in advance,
Kevin Werner from Germany

Kevin:

Sara Grey recorded this song in 1996 on her album, "Back in the Airly Days". The album notes say that it's, "An Irish version of a very old children's song from a most amazing singer from Boho in County Fermanagh, Annie McKenzie". You can purchase it here.

Bev and Jerry:
I did not know that Sara Grey recorded McKenzie's version of it.
I have Sara's Sandy Boys CD which I found very enjoyable, so I'll be sure to put Back in the Airly Days on my "wanted" list.

Thanks for letting me know!

Still, as a field recording enthusiast I'm always most interested in hearing the "original" sources of the songs I like.

I'm not sure how to explain this, but for me, listening to a cover of a traditional song just isn't the same experience, even if it's well done.
