Well, I was just thinking of dear Barry Finn this evening, listening to some of the videos of his lovely singing, etc...and from there, I went hunting for some Sea Shanty videos.

Great seeing the video again. But "Shoals of Herrin'" Scottish? Maybe 50% Scottish through Macoll's mother, though Charles Parker may have had input too.

Shoals of Herring was based on the speech patterns etc of Sam Larner, from NORFOLK.
