The lyrics below were printed in the Spokane Daily Chronicle, Nov. 22, 1941, page 8, column 3, under the heading "Songs of Long Ago" with the annotation "Sent in by Mrs. Stella Hendren, Kamish, Idaho." PIERRE OF THE SASKATCHEWAN When the logs come rolling down the river, Pierre comes rolling on and on, To Marie who's waiting all a-quiver For Pierre of the Saskatchewan.
