Your format is not accepted yet, but you can ask the programmer, whose email is given at the bottome of the help page. A simple programme for simple cases only, but maybe what some Mudcatters have been waiting for. Transposing chord symbols is helpful not only when transposing a song to suit your voice range, but also when using a capo for ease of fingering. |

I just pulled up the last example of a song I looked up the lyrics for that also had tabs. Here is the link for that. http://www.classic-country-song-lyrics.com/ahundredyearsfromnowlyricswithchords.html So then I copied and pasted the entire lyrics (including the chords) into that website and had it transposed to G#. It came out different. I can't guarantee it's accurate, but there were different chords above the words, so I'm assuming it did. |

It works best if your source comes from a Word document, not from the Internet. Also, the songs I'm transposing have the chords above the lyrics, not embedded. The site is not perfect by any means, but it certainly has its uses - especially if I'm in a hurry (or just lazy). Jay |
