The staff want me to put a user time limit on the computer, so there aren't disagreements about somebody hogging the computer. I thought I could do this with Windows 10 parental controls, but that seems to allow only for a daily limit for one user. To use that, we'd have to have individual sign-ins for each user. Is there an easy way to log a user in and set a 20 minute limit on their use? -Joe- |

A user might be able to accidentally or deliberately see the browsing history, form data, and perhaps even saved passwords of the previous user. Or is the machine locked down against that? How do libraries do it? With her own account a user can, for example, have her own bookmarks and save email attachments privately. I would investigate whether there is an easy way to login. There are fingerprint readers, and face recognition login (called 'Microsoft Hello') but I know nothing about it. Maybe there is software to login from a barcode on a printed ticket. |
