"the plastic stuff they use these days is pure *&^%$!!" Might not look as good and it might well be pure *&^%$!! but it makes the rifle a damn sight lighter to lug about, requires less attention and it stands up to far rougher handling than a polished finely carved lump of wood. It also has the advantage of being easier to replace like for like. |
