Lyr Add: The GOP blues

I was moved to write these lyrics tonight ( inspired i.a. by D. Trump's latest boast that he could "shoot someone on the streets of New York City and people would still love him" . I usually a polka musician ( My last contribution here was the Sarah Palin polka a few years back) , but this song is definitely more in the blues vein--I haven't even written a specific melody for it --and don't claim any authorship rights: I'm happy to share--so if anyone wants to give it some blues chords/ a melody and perform it , be my guest --and tell us if you make a video or whatever--I'd enjoy seeing it. I'd sure like it if the "message" got out through any sort of collaboration. Thanks for all you do, guys and ( hopefully) enjoy:

I've got the GOP blues, Ive got the GOP blues
'Cause they're there every time that I turn on the news:
That bullyin'Trump and that nasty guy, Cruz
Whenever they start, I get the GOP blues.

I got the GOP blues, I got the GOP blues
From the top of my head right down to my shoes
When I see how they bluster and lie and accuse
Every time it's the same:I get the GOP blues.

I got the GOP blues, I got the GOP blues
When I see an American party could choose
Out of all the good people, that Trump and that Cruz
'Cause if they ever win then the whole world will lose.

We got the GOP blues, we got the GOP blues
Should we all run away or take to the booze ?
Or do we stand up and shout that we all just refuse
To live any more with the GOP blues?

--- Or do we stand up and show with our votes we refuse to live any more with those GOP blues?

I think the lyrics as is are fine with the exception of stanza three which is weak compared to 1, 2 and 4. I don't think the choose-Cruz lines work all that well. YMMV. However, I think those two verses (a verse being a single line of poetry) need to be rewritten. That aside, helluva good set of words :-)
