Oh, and I never got to meet him when I was in Inverness years ago- such a supporter of good music! Thank you, Guest.

(Mods, kindly correct subject spelling.)

Just seen the sad news re Duncan's passing elsewhere

http://mudcat.org/thread.cfm?threadid=159162&messages=2

I have no more information.

Duncan was the founder of Inverness Folk Club and heavily involved with organising the early festivals.

I hadn't actually seen him for many years. Condolences to all his family and friends up there.

So sorry to hear this -- fond memories of many past Inverness festivals with Duncan and other committee members.

Condolences to Deirdre and family.

Didn't know him well, but we had some good times at his festival, the one in 1978 in particular comes to mind. Sorry to hear the news of his passing R.I.P. Duncan

I remember him well, I used to play inverness folk club and aberdeen a lot, particularly in the 1980s, he was always hospitable, friendly, and made me feel welcome in Inverness. RIP Duncan. Dick Miles.

My condolences. I have added his name to the "In Memoriam" thread. I never knew him except by reputation.

RIP
