Sheesh! We are really falling down on the job! Jeri reminded us, in the Clamgirl thread for her birthday, that you and she share the same birthdate. Sorry, we've not kept up with the birthdays! So...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Mbo!

Hope you had a great one!

Mbo, I'm so impressed. With so many years yet to learn, you have the wisdom to be hanging around the Mudcatters. I wish I had that kind of common sense when I was twenty-one. I don't really want to discuss what I was doing at that age.
May your 21st year be filled with lots of love and laughter.

Luv Bonnie

Mbo, congratulations on attaining your 21st birthday!!

I have not been at the Mudcat long, but it seems from your posts that I have read, that you are already wise beyond your chronological years. May you continue to grow and resist growing up, for a lifetime!! *BG*

It's just as well the youngsters here are wise beyond their years as most of the old farts (expecially myself) seem to be in our second childhood!

BTW there just one thing I'd like to know--if 21 is considered the first year of adulthood, why are so many people unable to see that the millennium really starts in 2001?

Think of it this way, Mbo - if we've completed 2000 years at the beginning of the 2000th year, you were 21 years old last Dec 4th!

Embo, I think the answer to your question is that most people have difficulty with numbers higher than 25, let alone such as thousands (credit card balances) and billions and trillions (, deficits, and Bill Gates' pocket change). Happy birthday, kid (I'm old enough to keep calling you that even if you have achieved legal manhood). It's great to have a new generation joining us--bring your friends.

Seed once referred to Methusala as "Kid" so don't let it bother you Meebo. I too am sorry for not starting your birthday thread when I did Jeri's.....my mind is not what it once was, and it was never all that much to begin with.

After reading the greetings here and also on your new "Quote" thread, its obvious that you have made many new friends here at the 'Cat. Most are unsavory types like myself with no redeeming social value whatsoever. The fact you share a birthday with Jeri makes you suspect from the gitgo. She scoops clams with her feet and likes to have dragonflies buzzing around her hooters.....So your perversion would be what? Don't answer.....I already know too much about too many and I don't sleep well because of it.

Someone said you are mature and I couldn't agree more. I'm envious of the years you have ahead and my best birthday wish is that you have many more and they are as filled with good friends and good memories as mine have been. The drive and enthusiasm and passion I had at your age made it a great time (and I had just gotten through some Federal time then)......but its only gotten better. Or maybe its just that "I was so much older then, I'm younger than that now."

May you live as you want, meet the partner you didn't believe existed, have kids that will make your spirit soar with four simple words,"I love you Dad," .....and sing the songs that need to be sung!

Happy Birthday

Spaw

Thanks a lot, 'Spaw. I've never seen you wax poetic before! Maybe you're a redeemable fellow after all! I know I love MY Day very much, as well as all my family. We're very close, love each other, and never fight like bogus families on TV. I hope one day when I have a family I can make it work like my Mom & Dad have.

Whoa! Make that "MY Dad" not "MY Day" although I'm enjoying it greatly from all you kind-hearted 'Catters. I proud to call you friends!
