As I remember it the four families were all together on stage throughout and it was evident that they were entirely comfortable with one another with their minds set on engaging the sell-out audience in a night of unrestrained fun. From the vibrant 'folk-rock' musicianship of the Doonans and the glorious, unrestrained vocal harmonies of the Wilsons, through the haunting interpretations of the Unthanks to the shear undiminished enjoyment of the Elliotts, that night had everything you could wish for - bring it on! |
