Dave is recovering from a double lung transplant and so is in hospital in the UK. So for any of you who do the FB thing, let him know how much he's appreciated and loved. |

25 Feb 16 - 08:06 PM (#3775071) Subject: Dave Swarbrick Alive and on the Mend From: keberoxu The folkicons website has a page of update messages, from which I quote very briefly. "As many of you probably know, Swarb was taken into hospital on Tuesday 19 January with a serious chest infection...." He started out at Bronglais Hospital, in intensive care. On Wednesday 17 February he was moved from Bronglais Hospital to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham. His kidneys required dialysis, and he was on a ventilator. Another chest infection diagnosed in hospital, which the writer says is normal with a transplant patient's immune system. Finally, the folkicons webpage asks, Please use Facebook for messages and do not attempt to directly contact his family. |
