This lovely site is home to an historic 18th century-themed quay and HMS Trincomalee, the oldest floating warship in the world. From atmospheric concerts overlooking the ship, to below-decks music sessions and shanty singing on the quayside, the Maritime Experience provides a fantastic site for imaginative concerts, workshops, sessions, singarounds and special events. Mainstage concerts take place at the Town Hall Theatre, a 10 minute walk away. Early bird tickets will be available until the end of June. Artists appearing include: Andy Irvine, Nancy Kerr and the Sweet Visitor Band, The Young'Uns, Jim Moray, Vin Garbutt, Blackbeard's Tea Party, John Spiers, The Wilsons, Tom McConville, O'Hooley & Tidow, Robb Johnson, Gina Le Faux, The Keelers, The James Brothers, Ross Ainslie and Jarlath Henderson, Imar, The Rheingans Sisters, Róisín White, Rosie Stewart, Bert Draycott, Jim McFarland & Ken Wilson, Rachel Hamer Band. Special events will include a new performance of Graeme Miles' Ironopolis song-cycle, Bob Beagrie's Leasungspell, and a 2-Tone ceilidh. Our opening night (21 October) traditional concert in the Sir William Gray Suite at the Historic Quay now features a set by Damien Barber and Mike Wilson. They'll be followed by the Keelers with a special Trafalgar Day concert, and finally a free and easy singaround with our traditional guests, including the Wilsons. Over at the Town Hall Theatre you can enjoy a concert featuring Findlay Napier, Jim Moray and Nancy Kerr & the Sweet Visitor Band. There'll also be a session at the Historic Quay and late night singing next door at Jackson's Wharf. Lots of great events on the Saturday & Sunday - see website or facebook for more details. |

With ticket sales still going strong and over a month to go, we're anticipating that some mainstage events will have low availability, or will be sold out, on the weekend itself. Our first priority is accommodating all of our weekend ticket-holders in mainstage concerts, so individual event pre-sales are already limited. If advance tickets are taken off sale for specific performances, there *may* be sales on the door up to 10 minutes before performance, but this will ONLY be after we've accommodated weekend ticket-holders and individuals who have pre-bought event tickets - we'll then sell any empty seats that are still available. If there's something specific you really want to see, we strongly advise booking soon. Similarly, if we start to reach capacity with weekend tickets we will reduce (or take off sale) any Saturday and Sunday tickets remaining in order to release more weekend tickets.
