06 Jun 16 - 10:56 AM (#3794093) Subject: Spanish session tunes From: Jack Campin I play regularly in a pub which, for reasons I know not, often gets drop-in Spanish tourists. I know very few Spanish tunes and they are all from peripheral parts of the country. It would be nice to play stuff these visitors know. (Mostly they are well educated, open-minded and in their 30s). Anyone know some session-friendly[*] Spanish tunes that would be recognizable to virtually any Spaniard? [*] i.e. no guitar-thrashing flamenco wank. |

Cuquina was one we learned at a workshop here in Australia. I can post the abc of it if it's the type of thing you're after. Cuquina on You Tube |

I attended a session that had seasonal Romanian farm workers - they came with the farmer who employed them. They liked anything from the Titanic - and the one Romanian tune I knew. Sorry - not sure about Spanish tunes. FloraG. |
