I do remember bits an pieces of it but not the correct order or indeed all the words. The day the cavemen came to Glasgow There was chaos in George Square There were cavemen climbing statues and pterodactyls zooming everywhere another bit was something trying to get on the Gorbals caur Jeanie the clippie she hid tae laugh all she could say wis come oan get aff It wis rare whit a tear it wis better than Ayr at the fair. there was a verse about something landing on washing with the hilarious phrase It looks just like the bissim up oor stair another about the drunk ? went tae the pub tae buy a hauf and though he spent some umpteen shillings we he came oot he sure wis feelin better aff but when he got up tae his landin something passed his understanding laid across his doorway and it jist widny go away. the last bit I remember was If ye wanted ower tae Govan wie the very minimum o shovein The council scrapped the wee clyde ferry cause it wisny nessesary if ye wanted ower the river there wis a new exotic wey ? Keep right on till as far as it goes there at the waters edge you'll surely sign the pledge staunin there as though it didny care there wis a great big brontosauras stridin(lyin) ower frae bank tae bank it hid its hied doon Cesnock subway and its tail wis fankled roon a Partick stank Alpine stocks a tanner slide doon fur free the ither side. can anyone help. |
