Just heard the sad news that Bob Williamson passed away today :-( One of Bolton's finest and should rank along with Mike Harding and Bernard Wrigley in the folk and comedy genre.

Bits about him and some fine examples on his website. 2016 is still being a bit of a bastard ain't it!

RIP Bob and condolences to all his family and friends.

Dave.

Hollands meat pies and Don't cry for my old Cortina were always firm favourites.

Bolton and the folk world have lost another fine singer and comic. My condolences. I have added his name to the "In Memoriam" thread. Do look at his website for a true picture of the man.

RIP

Peter

I'm very sorry to hear this. He was booked regularly at the Birmingham University's folk club and always drew a good crowd.
He was also part of a duo with Bernard Wrigley performing as the 'Y-Fronts' who also did a concert at one of Halls of Residence around 1974.
