A friend has requested help in tracking down a parody of Loving Hannah which apparently contains, among other phrases, "by the look in her glass eye"!

Do you mean Les Barker, GSS?

The one that came my to mind is Malcolm Austen's parody, which involves the rolling of a (glass) eye.

Thankyou Noreen, there is of course AFAIK only one Barker who writes parodies

I played my love at marbles
She beat me by and by
I knew my love was cheating
By the rolling of her eye

I've heard it, (probably from Dave Howdon) but can't remember much of it. It's about a game of marbles and contains a line:

"I knew my love was cheating by the rolling of her eye"

Two verses were posted by Herga Kitty in 2007 at http://mudcat.org/thread.cfm?threadid=99152#1973185

Thanks people. Two good names Barker and Austen and I can now pursue my research.
