Bayfolk at the Pub With No Beer!

Due to the death about six months ago of the owner of the four Theakston pubs in Robin Hoods Bay, there are now licensing issues, which means Ye Old Dolphin can't sell any alcohol at the moment!

However, Jim is going ahead with Bayfolk tomorrow evening. We have permission to bring our own beer and Jim is holding an extended beer raffle!

The pub is still doing food. So if you are in North Yorkshire, see you there for a mass chorus of 'The Pub With No Beer'!

I'm very sorry to hear we've lost Bob Tucker.

Surely Dave and the other landlords have enough experience to apply for licenses in their own names?

They are applying for temporary licences, but they won't be effective until next weekend.

The family heirs who now own the pubs are applying for permanent licences, but that will take a month.

Just another example of the stupid beaurocracy we suffer from in the UK.

It will get worse after Brexit.

Just wondered if this is sorted yet?

Yes, the pubs are serving ale again, but on temporary licences until it gets sorted permanently.
