I don't know if any of you have visited it recently, seems to be getting a bit neglected. Some gems in there might be worthwhile reviving. I picked out 4 songs which tickled my fancy. I think there are still several songs to which there is no tune suggested, so there's a little task for anyone of you retired folkies with a bit of time on their hands. (Just an idea!) Fancy a peek? I used other tropes from the thread more recently to write one called "The Tavernkeeper's Daughter." Alan of Australia had one in the same thread. |

Amos just did one called The Gentleman's Club that he and I wrote together about 2003 at the Getaway. I have written tunes for and recorded several, among them my songs The Provo's Song, Virginia Dare, and Blue China Jug. I have also written a tune for, and recorded, Amos' song 1066, which I renamed Song of the Saxons. Anyone desiring links to any, let me know. |

The main section & songs of inspiration/celebration has now been completed. I am attacking the parodies next.
