14 Oct 16 - 10:27 PM (#3814763) Subject: RE: October Press Room (NH) Shanty Sing From: GUEST,Don Hale Just got back from closing camp in the wild North Woods of Maine tonight. I beeped the horn as we passed Portsmouth. (I should have tooted it as we passed Charley's exit as well!) I expect to be there tomorrow. Linn, no internet equals no gentle reminder! Color the third Saturdays in bright red on every calendar in the house, like I do. Don |
15 Oct 16 - 12:16 PM (#3814846) Subject: RE: October Press Room (NH) Shanty Sing From: Bat Goddess I do, Don, I do -- first thing I do when I get a new calendar in December is mark all the third Saturdays...and birthdays and significant dates, etc. My excuse...and it's actually a pretty good one...is that I've had way too much on my dance card for the past few weeks. And I grabbed the first Saturday as a Curl Up In the Fetal Position And Suck My Thumb day and then plunged right back into Real Life... So, I seem to have dropped through a hole in the space/time continuum. Even though I was looking right at the indicated Saturday on my calendar, I still feel as if it's the first week of the month. (May I sigh the word "arghhh"?) Brain cramp. And the constant fear that the cramp will recur. The good news is that, while my sister is still in the hospital (a little over three weeks), she's doing a LOT better and is making real progress at improving to the point of going home. And my biopsy proved to be nothing to be concerned about. Linn |

Discovered last night that Don Hale carries a printout of the song postings with him to the session so he doesn't sing the same song too often. Linn |
