PLAYLIST FOR VIC SMITH'S FOLK MUSIC PROGRAMME ON ROCKET FM LEWES.
THURSDAY 20th OCTOBER 7 – 9pm (UK time)

You can listen to the programme via the station's "Listen Live" facility at http://www.rocketfm.org.uk/listen/

In today's folk music programme, I will be concentrating on two topics. In the first hour, I will be concentrating on the Lewes Saturday Night Folk Club and the guests that they will be presenting at their home in the upstairs room of the Elephant & Castle in School Hill. I will be talking to the organisers VALMAI GOODYEAR and BRYAN CREER and illustrating the talk with some of the artists that will be appearing there before the end of the year.
Then after the news at 8 o'clock, I will be turning my attention to the event this coming Sunday afternoon at Much Ado Books in Alfriston and an event with introduces a new organisation, website and database which will cover many aspects of the culture ot our county under the title of "Sussex Traditions". I will be talking to one of the traditional singers of the county, BOB LEWIS and recordings of Bob will be well represented on the database. Also I will be hearing about the thinking behind it and what it will aim to cover from a man at the centre of it, the highly regarded STEVE ROUD.
