I remember vaguely singing this with my pupils on Singing Together years ago. Does anyone know about Sidney Carter? When did he write this and does/did he actually live in Norwich? Also, on Youtube, there's a choir (dressed in black and red, but un-named) singing it, and they're possibly Scottish. Can anyone identify them for me? |

Apparently a London boy through and through. Cheers Nigel |

I've visited Julian's shrine in Norwich, and her statue is at the door of Norwich Cathedral, with that of St Benedict. I really like the words, "Let the winter come and go..." Very pretty tune. |

Book 5 of "Songs of Sydney Carter" has lyrics, piano arrangement and chords. I have a copy of British Heritage Magazine's Notable Britons series giving a brief biography of St.Julian |
