31 Aug 99 - 02:14 PM (#110086) Subject: Slewfoot From: Vixen D'Cats-- Here's another one of my innumerable requests for help...I heard a song at a song circle awhile ago, called (spelling various) Slewfoot. One of the lines of the chorus is "he looks a lot like me." The subject of the song is a bear (I think) who has prodigious strength, agility, and wit. Or something like that, anyway. I searched the forum and the DT for sl*foot, since I don't know how to spell it, but the searches came up empty. Any ideas? TIA V |

Heard this particular song another lifetime ago....second hand from a non-singer....that worked for a Christian Outdoor Adventure Program
At the same time (approx) 1980 heard a "Christian rendering" of encounters with Satan, in a "personal walk with Christ" to the tune/lyrics of: "The Gambler" ie. "Know when to hold em, Know when to fold em, Know when to walk away, and Know when to run." |
