Twenty nine years ago the Folk Party emerged from the ashes of the Durham City Folk Festival. They said that it wouldn't last but DFP lasted and became a much-loved song and dance event. Now it is no more and the folk world is a lesser place. |

And I've heard that Dunelm House (of Festival days) is due to come down - or perhaps be listed! The first listed multistorey car park with bars. Those were the days.
