BIRDS OF JOY - John Allan Cameron (Composer?)

INTRO: G D C G

Well I'm just(G)sitting here(Am)drinking(C)and a-(G)thinking
No I don't feel like(Am)joking with the(D)boys
Yes and(G)I am(Am)feeling(C)rather(G)lonely
And I'm growing somewhat(Am)tired of(D)all the(G)noise (C) (G)

CHORUS:
O, Birds of Joy please fly down to the shoulders
And grab a hold of my old and threadbare coat
And spread your wings and lift me to the Heavens
Happy sky where I will rise forever more

I left home now was it March or April
Left alone to make the wind go still
But the wind I know is mightier than I
So I humbly ask you spirit in the sky

(CHORUS)

Now this train that I' riding rolls along
And it rolls in spite of all that must go wrong
Like this train the (?) is no more rain
(?) the fire and let me whistle once again

(CHORUS)

Happy sky where I will rise forever more. (G-C-G-D-G)

I was wondering if anyone knew who wrote the song. I hope it's okay that I included the chords. I personally put a capo on fret 3 to suit my voice.

Dave Gunning sings "Birds of Joy" on his album "A Tribute to John Allan Cameron" (2010). You can hear it on Spotify. It's also on YouTube and on Dave Gunning's MySpace page. Discogs.com says it was written by Paul Brady and Stu Cisco, and so does www.ascap.com.

Thank you Jim for providing the names of the composers.
