06 Apr 17 - 11:32 PM (#3849186) Subject: Tech: MS Solitaire/Windows 10 From: Mrrzy New computer, I have the version with ads, which I mute; what it does is, when starting a game sometimes, it plays the soundtrack for a skittles commercial which is not what is showing, and then quits. The only solution so far is to un-and re-install. Any better ideas besides, don't spend so much time playing solitaire? |

This site describes how to do it with a hack, and I did it this way the first time (I think into my Win8 computer, a laptop that I don't use often.) The Winaero site has the zip file to download and install and is much easier. I've done this for my next door neighbor (I'm her computer IT person) but for some reason the hack wasn't going to work and it took a few tries to get this download to appear easily. Now that Win10 has been around for a while, it might be more streamlined. I have Solitaire pinned to the taskbar because for some reason it was difficult to make an onscreen icon for it. Clearly Microsoft doesn't understand how important Solitaire is - too important to go without and too important to pay for. :) |
