It's great, isn't it? The chorus and tune are traditional, but Tara wrote the verses. You'll find it on Tara Nevins 'Mule to Ride' Sugar Hill SHCD-3892.

Say, Stewie, is the song here in the database, or can you give us lyrics?

Here you go. It doesn't look much in black and white, but the treatment by Nevins and her band is wonderful. The native American chanting by Moontee Sinqua is the perfect complement to the song.

Cheers, Stewie.

TROUBLES
(Trad, verse lyrics Tara Nevins)

Chorus:
Oh lordy me, oh lordy my
See you when you haven't got a dime
Troubles are so deep
You can't eat or sleep
See you when your troubles are like mine
See you when your troubles are like mine

Great great bird wings in the sky
Mother Nature, Father Time
Up above the moonlight sky
Here's a star for everyone alive
Here's a star for everyone alive

Chorus

Like a single feather light
Drifting on the wind
No one knows where the feather blows
Where it stops and where it begins
Where it stops and where it begins

Chorus

(Native American chant)
