02 Jun 17 - 04:13 PM (#3858550) Subject: Eisteddfod's Howard Glasser in Hospice From: Thomas Stern Howard Glasser, founder of the EISTEDDFOD festival, renowned artist, and teacher. Very sad news - Howard has had some severe respiratory and other health related problems this week. Last night he experienced extreme difficulty breathing, was admitted the Charleton Hospital (Fall River). This afternoon he has been transferred to the Hospice unit, and is receiving palliative care. Carole and Michelle are overseeing this stage. Say prayers, good thoughts for Howard. Thomas. |

A gathering afterwards will be held at Howard's house, 28 Forge Road (corner of Howland Road), Assonet (Freetown), MA. All are invited. This he sent my husband Arthur Argo and myself in 1970. I had every intention of trying to contact him and was sad to hear of his death. I believe he also designed a poster for Arthur's concert at the Carnegie Institute when Arthur visited the USA. My memory of the times he stayed with us in Scotland are warm. He was a charismatic person whom I remember with affection. |
