There will also be opportunities to speak with both graduating students and tutors about their experiences. I think it would be a great place to visit if you are interested in instruments, even if you don't make or repair them yourself. If you have been following the discussion about visa problems for internatonal students (no fault of their own or of Newark School, but rather the knock on effect of a low Ofsted rating for parent school Lincoln college), the local m.p. has been in discussion with the Home Office and fully expects the 4 violin making students who are immediately affected will get exceptional extension of their visas so that they can complete the course. Students from outside the E.U. who were intending to start the course next autumn may still not be able to do so, however. Let's hope the issue is resolved sooner rather than later. |
