Ran across an album on youtube - "The Boys are Coming Home: Songs of the Civil War" by Nunez, Nelson & McClung. Found another civil war album by Nunez & Nelson called "The Long Road." They include tunes, dialogue and stories. Unable to find anything of substance about any of the artists. Appears Nunez is someone named Shawn Nunez, and Nelson may be someone named Robert George Nelson. Their record label and website is defunct.

Am curious, and hoping some one on Mudcat may know more about some or all of these fellows and their music.

The link below is to a youtube video of the title song of the first lp I mentioned.

I haven't seen anything else about these uys. Youtube has a series of their recordings, through the CDBaby contract - but I haven't seen anything about the individuals or the band. Sounds good though!

Shawn Nunez & George Nelson were:
Nunez and Nelson

They were based in North Texas and did period music for the state and local park gift shops. Don't know about the "Robert" but it's them alright.

Ron McClung makes it a trio according to a 2012 Allen, TX magazine blurb (behind paywall.) I've never heard of him before.
