And being a bit of a technophiliac I don't mind some automation if it makes drudgery easier. But my home is not and will not be all tied together. I can keep track of what's in the fridge myself, and it's no big deal to use a key to open the doors (and if I'm locked out I'll call a locksmith). Yes, the house is wified, but access is as locked-down as I can make it. And Alexa, Siri, et al. are NOT ever used -- perhaps someday, if injuries or age demand it, but not right now. |
