BS: Alexa tell roomba to eff off

Roomba maker iRobot recorded soaring sales and banked rising profits in the three months to July, according to figures revealed on Tuesday.

Yet despite all that success, the vacuum-cleaning bot builder has its eyes on another lucrative prize: the layout of your home.

Chief exec Colin Angle believes his bottom line can be boosted even further if he inks the right deals and sells this sensitive customer information to the "Big Three" – Amazon, Google and Apple.

Do they have a built-in camera good enough to identify where you keep you keep your laptop and take upskirts?

With Google House you'll be able to look at everybody else's front room...

Automatic vacuuming and such housecleaning things is fine. And being a bit of a technophiliac I don't mind some automation if it makes drudgery easier. But my home is not and will not be all tied together. I can keep track of what's in the fridge myself, and it's no big deal to use a key to open the doors (and if I'm locked out I'll call a locksmith). Yes, the house is wified, but access is as locked-down as I can make it.    And Alexa, Siri, et al. are NOT ever used -- perhaps someday, if injuries or age demand it, but not right now.

Alexa has insidiously made herself my wife's newest best friend, they are plotting something together behind my back...

I hear them whispering....

Alexa knows I don't trust her.. I fear the worst...

Do they have a Broomba for those of us who prefer to sweep instead of vacuum?
