Then you flew your Lear Jet up to Nova Scotia To see the total eclipse of the sun Well you're where you should be all the time And when you're not you're with Some underworld spy or the wife of a close friend Wife of a close friend, and... You're so vain, you probably think this song is about you You're so vain, I'll bet you think this song is about you Don't you? don't you? don't you? -Joe- |

Her voice has lost a bit of quality since she made this recording in 1984. Sounds like she's got smoker's voice, but she still put a lot of heart into the performance. -Joe- |

22 Aug 17 - 09:40 AM (#3873117) Subject: RE: where are all the eclipse songs From: GUEST,Treacle Bolly "Concerning the Eclipse" is a song on the album Casablanca by the band Casablanca. Members included David Costa and Barry Clarke, both formerly of Trees. The LP was released on Elton John's Rocket label in 1973. The lead vocal is by Juanita Franklin. The lyrics seem to draw an analogy between the inevitability of a relationship and an eclipse: "We could sing about falling into line, cosmically defined, the movements of the stars, the patterns in the cards... Like the Sun and the Moon, above the same hill at noon, fatefully reborn together..." |
