25 Aug 17 - 02:15 AM (#3873536) Subject: Stephen Chambers, CoClare From: The Sandman A number of people have been trying to contact him, does anyone know if he is ok and if so can they contact me with up to date contact details he is not responding on facebook. |
25 Aug 17 - 06:52 PM (#3873645) Subject: RE: Stephen Chambers, CoClare From: GUEST,Speyside I've been trying to contact Stephen for about 3 weeks as I have some things of his I need to post him. The phone number I have for Stephen no longer appears to be connected. It might be an old number I am not sure. i too have had no response on facebook. |
26 Aug 17 - 03:35 AM (#3873665) Subject: RE: Stephen Chambers, CoClare From: Bonnie Shaljean Is it worth someone posting this question on concertina.net? (If it hasn't already been done - but I took a quick look on there and couldn't see any threads about it.) I don't belong to that forum, and am not part of the concertina scene, but one of them might either have an up-to-date phone number, or live locally enough to go to his house, ring the bell, and push a note through his door if nobody answers. If it were me, I would also ask some of the neighbours when they last saw him. And if that comes up zilch, I think it's time to alert the Gardai. Fingers crossed the scenario doesn't get that far. |
26 Aug 17 - 10:06 AM (#3873729) Subject: RE: Stephen Chambers, CoClare From: GUEST Contacting Stephen through c.net would seem a viable option (if a drive to Kilkee isn't on the cards). Although, if he is away from the internet, as he has been on several occasions in the past, and not presently responding to facebook messages, he probably won't reply there either. |
26 Aug 17 - 10:17 AM (#3873733) Subject: RE: Stephen Chambers, CoClare From: GUEST,SqueezeMe Stephen posted on melodeon.net about 4 hours ago, so I wouldn't be calling the Gardai just yet.... |
26 Aug 17 - 10:05 PM (#3873805) Subject: RE: contacting Stephen Chambers, CoClare From: GUEST,Speyside That is good to hear - i wonder if someone could very kindly tell him to check his emails and facebook messages? thanks |
28 Aug 17 - 08:50 AM (#3874023) Subject: RE: contacting Stephen Chambers, CoClare From: GUEST,Jim Martin Spoke to Stephen yesterday - healthwise he was in good shape - he has very poor BB conections & his pc is getting old & clunky so he is not using Mudcat or FB as it has been wasting too much of his valuable time when he feels he should be catching up with his backlog of work. |
28 Aug 17 - 09:03 AM (#3874025) Subject: RE: contacting Stephen Chambers, CoClare From: The Sandman Can you ask him to contact me via my website or by my new phone number, which is nought two seven six two nine one and six, and tell him someone from scotland is also trying to contact but we have out of date phone numbers, thanks |
30 Aug 17 - 09:12 AM (#3874306) Subject: RE: contacting Stephen Chambers, CoClare From: Jim Carroll Had an e-mail from Bonnie Shaljean which more-or-less confirms what Jim Martin said Perhaps those needing to contact him urgently should phone OAC in Miltown Malbay (number on their site), though I would heed Jim's point about Steve catching up on his backlog of work Would have made enquiries earlier, but only got home from West Cork on Monday night Jim Carroll |
31 Aug 17 - 05:02 AM (#3874415) Subject: RE: contacting Stephen Chambers, CoClare From: The Sandman thanks Jim,hope you enjoyed West Cork |
31 Aug 17 - 06:44 AM (#3874447) Subject: RE: contacting Stephen Chambers, CoClare From: Jim Carroll "West Cork" The weather was awful - very much enjoyed what we saw of The Masters of Tradition Festival (though the local pubs could do with a serious musical re-make - made me feel like a tourist again) Had a coffee in Ballydehob (mainly to shelter from the rain) Jim Carroll |
31 Aug 17 - 04:49 PM (#3874567) Subject: RE: contacting Stephen Chambers, CoClare From: The Sandman you will have empty pockets, then, Jim. |
01 Nov 17 - 06:33 PM (#3886288) Subject: RE: contacting Stephen Chambers, CoClare From: GUEST,Robert English I would be another friend of Stephen Chambers who was concerned about his sudden (so it seemed) disappearance. Should anyone contact him again, please send him regards from Robert and Jennifer in California. Contact via FB is possible or playthetunes@gmail Regards and thanks for the updates. Robert |

11 Feb 18 - 01:39 PM (#3905000) Subject: RE: contacting Stephen Chambers, CoClare From: GUEST,Sorcha Monaghan Hi all, I’m trying to get hold of Steve - has anyone got an up to date number for him? |
11 Feb 18 - 02:36 PM (#3905009) Subject: RE: contacting Stephen Chambers, CoClare From: Jim Carroll Probably your best bet would be to contact Oidreacht an Chláir at eolas@oac.ie Sorcha (or anybody) - the website should have a current phone number There is a concertina weekend just finishing here in Miltown Malbay at present so there should be somebody at the Centre tomorrow to pick up the bodies and collect the empties Good luck Jim Caarroll |
11 Feb 18 - 03:50 PM (#3905025) Subject: RE: contacting Stephen Chambers, CoClare From: GUEST,Peter Laban 'There is a concertina weekend just finishing here in Miltown Malbay at present' Steve was absent for the weekend, his usual concertina repair/maintenance workshop given to Evgeny Pichugin. |
