One of my all time favourite
bands (in all their various line-ups).
RIP Mr. Becker.

I recall an interview, long while back, with the duo.

They brought in expert musicians for their recording sessions.

Some of the session players had the time of their lives, being allowed to come forward and have their moment in the sun.

I could name him, but I won't:
There was an established jazz musician, impeccable credentials,
who agreed to work with them,
and he was intimidating. Not aggressive, but cold and glowering.
One of the duo was still cringing and trembling over it!

Sounds like Miles Davis, amirite?

RIP Walter Becker. I was fortunate to see him onstage with the reformed Dan a couple of times. A brilliant player. His solo album "Circus Money" is interesting.

Michaelr: as Groucho Marx would say,
Close, but no cigar.
(A bit younger, and still living)

I am really sorry to hear this. I loved all of their albums. I still play them still. Such great music and clever lyrics.
