He had been ill for a long time, so it wasn't a surprise, but still. A true Renaissance man, John was a musician (played bluegrass with the Charles River Valley Boys), photographer, writer (recent book about his long working friendship with Janis Joplin) and all around good man. I'll miss him very much. |
