Anyone using the Myers Feather 2 ? or the Microvox setup. The wooden rim of concertina has a small carved 'groove' all round which may prevent 'suction cup ' attachment. No permanent fixing wanted. Advice please. |

Just got them out after quite a while not having to use them. The use of velcro patches to attach them makes for rapid transfer to alternative instruments; I also use them on whistles and bodhran. It is possible to adjust the volume between the two microphones by an internal variable resistor. This could be useful with Duet concertinas which notoriously have louder left hand sides! Robin |

I purchased a Soundpro powered lapel mic - mostly because of review from Tony of Bristol regarding his concertina success. Very reasonable from Maplin and can easily attach under palm rest. Recording Test sounded very clear. Real test is playing out this week through different PA. will use standard mike on bass end to evaluate.hoping can then get another lapel mic and passive mixer. Looking for quick setup. |

I used to use Microvox when I played in a ceilidh band but nowadays its mostly song accompaniment and I could really do with something a bit more sophisticated. I have a large 61-key Wheatstone special anglo which people often think is a duet. |
