He interviewed Jim McLean about the Ding Dang Dollar album, and broadcast it today. I don't know how long the broadcast is available, but it will be online for at least a few weeks. Here's the link: http://kdvs.org/m3u.php?show_date=2018-03-03&show_id=4772&show_name=The+Saturday+Morning+Folk+Show&kbps=320 And the playlist: https://kdvs.org/playlist-details/45665/ With Google Chrome, the browser downloaded a file titled 2018-02-24_4772_320kbps.m3u to my "downloads" folder. Then I right-clicked the file and selected "open with." A list of players showed up, and I chose "Windows Media Player" one time and "Media Monkey" another. No doubt, many of the players on the list will play the program for you. I found the interview to be very interesting. -Joe- |

05 Mar 18 - 07:55 PM (#3909678) Subject: Tech: Ins and outs of M3U files From: Joe Offer It's my understanding that an M3U file is the equivalent of an MP3 and will usually play on software that plays MP3s, but the player has to be connected to the Internet and the file does not allow the material being played to be copied. Can somebody explain further how this works, and also tell us why people in the UK have not been able to get the Jim McLean interview to function? Thanks. -Joe- |
