BS: The Chronicles of Clovis

I'm currently re-reading "The Chronicles of Clovis" by "Saki" (H.H. Munro), and the re-reading has reminded me why he's one of my favourite authors, and one of the masters of the short story. There's a bite and a wit and a sharpness of phrase to his work which has me in fits of laughter.

Shame he died in his 30s, a victim of the 1st World War trenches.

Just saw the English miniseries "37 Days" the beginning of WWI from the point of view of the English Civil Service and royal and government officials of Germany, Russia, and Austria.

Big fan of Saki. One of the few authors I go back to.
