I know that Scottish Poet & Singer Hamish Henderson wrote the song "The Freedom Come All Ye" and that it has been recorded by several people. I also know that in 1963 & 1964 Pete toured the world. I found a communication from Hamish Henderson to Moe Asch in which Henderson mentions that Pete wanted to use the song with suitable sub-titles for his tour in Africa. I know that Pete recorded it for the album "Live in '65" but am wondering if there is perhaps more detail. Does anyone have any information about this? I would appreciate it greatly. Thank you. |
