Year End Audit - Unfulfilled Requests

21 Dec 99 - 07:06 PM (#152635)
Subject: Year End Audit - Unfulfilled Requests
From: John in Brisbane

As I stumbled through 1999 I'm sure that I made some promises in this Forum to obtain lyrics and/or tunes, that I did not susequently provide. A recent one that I recall was the tune for 'It's On'.

In order to enter the Year 2000 with a clearer conscience I would invite all those to whom I have breached trust to resubmit their requests now. From 31 December 1999 all unregistered requests/complaints will be declared as inactive and I can sleep more soundly thenceforth.

Other troubled souls may feel free to submit to this thread as prompted by their own feelings of guilt.

Regards, John

To atone for my past sins I have re-freshed your thread. This one is outside my knowledge base. Regards, John

"Give me a few minutes and I'll think of something you can atone for; what are you willing to do to make up for those sins?", she said, grinning slyly.

No Kat, a sinner I may be, but no martyr. I refreshed Amos' interesting request re Tinkers. Remorsefully, John

Well, I've been thinking about my request that remains unfulfilled. Well, the Mudcat related one, I'll talk to Marge about the other ones.

Fred Kohler has a song called "The King and I". In concert he included a verse that started out "I saw Woody Guthrie and Cisco Houston". That verse is not on his recorded version. Anybody know this verse?

Oops! Ignore my last posting! Here is what you should write

<a href=http://www.mudcat.org/Detail.CFM?messages__Message_ID=139308>
http://www.mudcat.org/Detail.CFM?messages__Message_ID=139308</a>

And this time I put in the whole address so it is litterally what you type. This will display the address and make it "active".

The general form is:

<The Address here>Whatever you want to appear in blue here</a>

So:

Click
<a href=http://www.mudcat.org/Detail.CFM?messages__Message_ID=139308>
here</a>

Will produce "click here" with the "here" active.

Hope that helps

Merry Xmas

Murray

I imagine just about all of us have said at one time or another, "Yeah, I'll look those up and get right back." Then either the album/book/link/whatever does not surface, and the first thing you know, it's forgotten. Sooooo ~~ I will add my offer to John's there. (I have a WHOLE bunch of tapes, etc. that I have said I would make that are in various stages of completion so don't remind me about them)~~ they are not forgotten, they are weighing too heavily on my mind for that I might add)

I know you shouldn't, but in response to John in B and Dale I add "me too". 'Cause I know there's at least a couple of promises I foolishly made and failed to keep, but I sure as heck can't remember what they were.

To Alison:

That reminds me... You promised to try to transcribe ""Bad Dream Blues"" and ""Separation Blues"" for me.

Did you ever get anywhere with them?

I do promise to do those Archie Fisher songs for - Clifton, was it? - before the millennium (which, as far as I am concerned, is still twelve months off ...). No, honestly, I'll try as soon as possible although, to quote George H, there are too many promises I foolishly made, not just to Mudcatters. Still, happy new year to you all! - Susanne

I still don't know what "Ethermotor Drops" are in Dock Boggs' song. Otherwise, Mudcat been berry berry good to me.
