12 Jun 18 - 05:52 PM (#3930564) Subject: BS: (Actually Yes Music, but still BS) From: darkriver I am trying recall details of a performance review I read many years ago. I believe it was in the Singapore Times or some such Asian daily. 'Twas about a pianist who in the course of trying to perform a classical piece, ran into problems when the humidity more or less sabotaged his performance. In frustration, I recall, he systematically dismantled the piano. Now either I may have misremembered (surprise, surprise) this article, or it may have been an early example of urban legend. But my request here is if anyone else recalls this and can perhaps provide some pointers to the facts. Thanks. Doug |

He eventually took a fire axe to his instrument after several keys began to stick due to the humidity. If you Google it you may find the review. It's very funny! |

It even has its very own thread, identifying the author and all. But can she link to it? Let's find out. Mudcat Thread 159100 erm ... golly ... no wonder it's familiar. I started the thing. |

Since it's entirely nonpolitical it will make a neutral example. The piece about keb forgetting authoring the thread--priceless! ~S~ |
