(Germaine Tillion's book "The Republic of Cousins" tries to explain why - veiling practices have nothing to do with religious beliefs, it's all about the customary law of marriage and inheritance, and predates any written scriptures). |

But I would think that they are worth seeing live. Anybody know of any plans for a UK tour? |

They are playing in Hungary, Switzerland, The Netherlands, Germany, Italy, France, Portugal and Spain. But not in the UK. Their earlier EU tour was Belgium, France, Germany, Switzerland and Slovenia. But again, not the UK. Is this because UK festival organisers can't be bothered? Or because we really have placed ourselves beyond the Pale. |
