We ate too much, drank a bit too much wine, and now we're cleaning up and getting over it. I'm told there was a parade downtown, and fireworks. After so many years in Ottawa, I'm kinda over Canada Day parades and fireworks. Besides, it was stonking hot yesterday -- at least 34C. Much the same today, with thunderstorms in the offing. Can't come too soon for me. Environment Canada promises an overnight low of 16C. I can hardly wait. |
