Maybe Jesse Colin Young solo but pretty obscure. Very pretty song, wish I could find it. Thanks!

I'll do a transcription when I get to it. (The lyrics are clear on that take.)

I don't know that it makes a difference, but I saw the song somewhere as "Greenhill Mountain Home".

I'm mostly resting from a fall today, so I'll transcribe the words, which I don't seem to find on the Internet. Watch, I'll do it, and somebody will find them.

Here ya go. There's a town near Nashville Tennessee called Green Hill, so I decided to capitalize "Green Hill," on the assumption that that's what the song is about.
=============

Where the water tastes like summer wine
And the sky is bright with blue and gold
Birds are singin for the sun to shine
In my Green Hill, Green Hill mountain home.

Where my darling walks the woods alone
On the soft brown carpet of the pine
Cloudy-eyed from sorrow she has known
In my Green Hill, Green Hill mountain home.

Wanderin, so far from home, wandering and so alone
When I'm walkin in the twilight of a long dreary day
And my life weighs like cotton on my soul,
Then I dream of a meadow up in a mountain so high
And my love, breathin soft by my side.

Where the sunset, shinin through the trees
Brings a glow at the end of the day
That is where my weary road must lead,
To my Green Hill, Green Hill mountain home.

Where the water tastes like summer wine
And the sky is bright with blue and gold
Birds are singing for the sun to shine
In my Green Hill, Green Hill mountain home.

[Repeat first verse, sing "In my Green Hill, Green Hill mountain home" twice at the very end.]

It would be a LOT of work to note this melody, but I can tell you this, if you want to sing it:

1. Jesse Colin Young is singing it very high. My husband, a bass, has to sing falsetto to join him.

2. The key seems to be D. "Where the" are pick-up notes and don't get a chord. The first chord is D, on "water."

Then it drops to Em. After that, you are on your own.

3. Work it out while listening to the video, then transpose the chords to your own key. If you don't know how to do that, come back and ask. Prolly should start a new thread.

Jesse singing the song there. If someone refreshes this in a week or so I'll take a stab at the chords.
