I first met Richard at the 2004 Eurogathering in Barrow on Humber and then thouroughly enjoyed the 2005 Eurogathering that he hosted in Niort, France. Thanks for the link on FB, Noreen, I so seldom have time to even go there, let alone here. One of the things I remember most vividly of the Brussels gathering was the quality of the coffee that Mooman and Lady McMoo served. Richard accompanied me to the shops and I brought home some fantastic organic Brazilian coffee. I was in my workshop the other day, and found that very tin, which served as my coffee stash in my office for many years, until it was downgraded to the workshop for being a health hazard. I took a picture of it, full of paintbrushes, and have been meaning to send it to Richard. And now it's too late. What a lovely, peaceful, talented man he was. |

We met several times, Shelagh and Richard came to stay with Dawn and I on Orkney when we lived there, had a great time, it went some way towards repaying the kindness extended when I went to Brussels.
