How about meeting for a folk jam - and Irish seisuin at Bagatelle, 12 Saint Marks Place, in Manhattan, (8th street between 2nd and 3rd) Wendsday December 29th, at 8pm. My band plays there Wendsdays, so why dont we open it up to all for that night. For more information InOBU@aol.com

InOBU, if only I could teleport myself... I would have been at the Jug in Yorkshire on the 23rd, Torronto on the 27th and in New York on the 29th...

Bless you Jon:
Eight million in New York, not counting all our less than legal sisters and brothers - and not two mudcatters in the bunch... no wonder Folk City closed!
Happy new year friends!
Larry

That's day after tomorrow. I'll try and make it. Is the place smokey? I can't tolerate smoke.

Sorry, this Weds. I have plans to sing the entire Handel's Messiah at a friend's annual rendition of it. Any Phila area singers or orchestral instrumentalists interested? (Vocal scores are provided.) If so, email me at Marymac90@aol.com

Besides which, I'm broke, and the gas gauge is on "E". What about another Weds, if this is a regular thing?

Dear folks and folkies:
Yup, Wendsday is a regular thing, My band Sorcha Dorcha usually plays, but we would love to invite anyone up, and make one Wendsday a month an open seisun for Irish and other folk traditions. Nope, it is not been smokie, as it has about twenty foot cielings, as it is an old carridge house, and I also am VERY alergic to smoke, and not been bothered yet... so ... hope to see all!
All the best
Larry

How will we recognise each other? I don't have a mudcat T-shirt.

Let me (us) know when the next open Weds. will be. NYC isn't so far from Phluffia when there's gas in the tank.

Rick, I was about to try my new teleporter when I got a phone call from the Mudcatter who had been asking about sessions in my area to say that he and his friends will be in the folk club tonight - have to leave it to next year now. Tonight sounds promising here - hope yours is as well.

About how to recognise each other, How bout everyone carrying a set of Uilleann pipes? Hmmm, I got mine... no thats a bit extreme, just come up to the piper and say hi, I point out the others who also said hi, its not a big place, and informal, see ya there,

I wish I could be there! I have a prior committment in Dallas. How about doing it again, sometime, and giving us a bit more notice? I have a son in NYC and I need a good excuse to visit!

Anyway, best of luck tonight. By the way; ya need to call in to the Mudcat Radio show during your session! Sing a song for Max and Bert over the phone!

I was the only other Mudcatter there, besides larry the piper. We had a good time. It was my first time hearing uillean pipes, and I liked it very much. Larry plays well. Irish music is new to me, but the band had a nice sound, and they were all nice people. I hope more people show up next time.

Thanks Mr. Easy!
It was great seeing a face behind the words, and hope to see more of all our local mudcat folkies. I wish I had more time to wag the gums with you, maybe I can get there before we have to play sometime. WHo knows, I may be inspired to write a song in praise of Mudcat threads.
Peace in the new year,
Larry

I'll see you another time, Larry. I was driving the "taxi" for my elderly mother yesterday. By nightfall, I just wanted to rest up for the big doings over the next few days.

All the best,
Dan
