This harks back to a traumatic day when I bought a bag of sugar-free sweets containing something called "stevia" (I think) from Tesco. After consuming a handful of the admittedly tasty sweets, my digestive system turned into something resembling a cement mixer that could not be switched off for the next four hours. My contribution to the greenhouse gas content of the atmosphere was significant, and my car smelled as though the contents of the sewage system of a small town had been tipped into it. |
