BS: Cacti and Razor Wire...

What do they have in common? Is there a way to combine them that is aesthetically satisfying and agreeable to the senses? If so, during what season? And can you get them in plaid colors?

You're just yanking BWL's chain. But you could ask him if he ever bathes his dogs, that thread has a good start.

Oh, darn, sometimes I'm so clueless. Who's BWL?

Why would you want to camouflage it? It looks a whole lot better accompanied by a berm and ditch.

When I was about twelve years old, I licked a cactus. It was a small cactus whose spines were so fine that they looked more like a coating of downy hair than real thorns. When they wouldn't stick to my fingertips, I decided they probably weren't thorns at all, but, just to make sure, I stuck my tongue to the cactus. Well, fingertip skin is tough. Tongue tissue is soft. Little tiny cactus spines won't stick to fingers, but they will stick to tongues. Take my word for it. Do not feel like you need to repeat the experiment. The results would probably not be appreciably different.

I have never licked razor wire.

Joe, that is BWL, and this little bit of whimsy leaked out of the Mother of all BS threads.

Yes, it did. It had to. I also seem to recall foolishly licking a cactus when I was a child. Same result. Not good!

The MOAB has a tendency to leak weird stuff every now and then. Most of it doesn't smell too much. Though there is the occasional Hefty bag full of week-old deer guts....

Some cacti of the Opuntia genus have itty bitty spines, they may be at the base of a large spine or looking like fuzzy little clumps all on their own. They are called glochids and they easily come free at the slightest touch of a finger, or, I guess, a tongue. And small as they are, they have even smaller barbs.

I rather think those cacti actually fire those tiny spines into you.

We have cacti here. Bunches of prickly pear, which (destickered) is sold in the markets. You can also get candy made from cactus, which isn't half bad.

We also have sage. Three different kinds, none the cooking sort. If you want a carload or so I can arrange the shipping.

This sounds like a decorating scheme for the Trump Wall,
which would cut through a climate zone
which I think is called Sonora Desert.

Trump may be a bit jealous of the fact that Bush and Obama already managed to seal off an entire 1/3 of that border during the 16 years they were in office....and they didn't even get criticized in the mass media for doing so! :D (Look it up. It's called the Mexico-United States Barrier. It did not begin with Donald Trump. He just decided to make a lot of noise about it during his run for office. The previous administrations did it much more quietly.)

EVERYTHING Trump is criticized for by "liberals" was done by Obama with no comment at all.

Seems like there are two standards: One is GUILTY if conservative, and INOCCENT if liberal.

Witness Hillary and treatment of her lies to the FBI vs those of Trump officials.

And Obama's separation of the children of illegal invaders ( - they never applied for entry before violating the law.) vs the treatment of Trump for continuing the process- and BOTH have had tear gas used on people coming over the border illegally- but ONLY Trump gets called out for it.

Just so. It's amazing how selectively blind people are, all on account of their pre-established partisan bias for one party and against the other. I have no trouble criticizing the actions of both those parties and their presidents, because I don't believe in either of them at this point.

This article is quite interesting, and it says a Trump folds on G-20
lot:

That's it, BB, pull out the tu quoque (what about) argument. Makes no sense logically, but it's your only answer.

The zone isn't just Sonoran, it is (from west to east) Mojave, Sonoran, then Chihuahuan. Not sure what they call the hot semi-arid area along the Rio Grande once you're east of Big Bend.

None so blind as those who do not see themselves...

SRS, you seem to be objecting to a direct reply to a posted point.

You want to lay down the permitted points that you are willing to accept, so I know what I am supposed to be thinking?

"This sounds like a decorating scheme for the Trump Wall, "

"It's called the Mexico-United States Barrier. It did not begin with Donald Trump. He just decided to make a lot of noise about it during his run for office. The previous administrations did it much more quietly.) "

** I ** did not bring Trump into this- so if you are OK with comments knocking him, why protest equal time for those who think worse of your clay idols?

And Little Hawk is far more "Liberal" + than most of those that post or edit comments here.

+ in terms of the supposed definition of Liberal as fair and open minded, and accepting of other viewpoints.

True liberalism as it once was barely exists any longer. What we have now is instead a frenzy of emotionally triggered Identity Politics used to manipulate people into partisan lock-step rather than any rational discussion of important international issues.

Come now, Mr Beard -Everything he's criticized for? Even those things Trump and his gang of crooks have done that the Obama administration never did at all? That's a whopper even for you.

Hillary again? The FBI concluded and stated she did NOT lie. Or you going off on a "deep state" Comey fueled delusional rant?

Obama's separation of the children of illegal invaders vs the treatment of Trump for continuing the process- and BOTH have had tear gas used on people coming over the border illegally- but ONLY Trump gets called out for it.

Up to your usual tricks I see, implying that the circumstances were equivlent in both cases. They were not, nor was the frequency or number of incidents. You also seem to have forgotten that both Baby Bush and Reagan used tear gas AND that the Obama administration WAS called to task for its use by several what you would style as "liberal" groups. Do look it up.

"Illegal invaders"? Don't you mean to say "untermenchen? Must be terrible for you to be so afraid of children and refugees fleeing for their lives.

Why not try turning off Fux News & embracing reality if only for a shory while? You might find that you actually like it.

FBI has NEVER stated Hillary did not lie: Only that in the opinion of her supporters she did nothing that was prosecutable SINCE it was Hillary: Others who had clearances and did not protect it have served jail time EVEN when there was no intent. The statement that she had no intent is of no meaning in regards to the requirements to protect classified information when one has a clearance.

She stated that she had intentionally destroyed emails iknowingly in violation of federal regulations. Others in the government have been punished for that BUT not her.
