Tech: Hobgoblin website

Up till recently I could browse Hobgoblin music site quickly for second hand items - they seemed to have 'updated' the layout with lots of imagery, now I can't use the site at all. Anyone else finding this? - I am viewing from iPad.

https://hobgoblin.com/

On my desktop computer there is a line of links underneath the blue stripe (which starts 'Guitars') which includes BUY AND SELL SECONHAND INSTRUMENTS

On an iPad that line is missing in portrait mode but appears in landscape mode (if you get rid of the bookmarks pane on the left.)

I don't think I've looked at the secondhand pages before.
It feels quite very similar to other websites to me.
fwiw
on an Android phone I get
portrait - one column of pictures
landscape - two columns of pictures

on an Android tablet I get
portrait - two columns of pictures
landscape - four columns of pictures

...& I'd arrived there from a Google search so I didn't notice the lack of link.

They seem to have got rid of their What's on \ clubs listing pages too but they were very out of date.

I mostly browse with Firefox on an Android-ish smartphone. The line of links I referred to before isn't visible in either portrait or landscape orientation . There is however another link to secondhand instruments lower down the page. But when I get there the filter pane on the left is missing, so I can't select an instrument. OK for multi-instrumentalists I suppose ;)

It's OK if I select desktop mode.

Nothing useful here - iPhone 4, iOS 6.

Hobgoblin seem not to have realized that a fair chunk of their market is people who'd rather put their money into instruments than fancy phones or computers.

Here's a firm about the same size and scope that does web design very much better. And I've spent far more with them.

That site doesn't allow me to browse more than one page of accordions. Do you think my wife has had a word with the webmaster?

I think that accordions or not a few emails to them would be worth it rather than suffering in silence. I think it's pretty bad too and have passed on my thoughts!
